About Heather Perkins
Heather Perkins is composer, sound designer and Mad Scientist at WaterDog Studio in Portland, where she makes music and sound for love, and for a living. She creates for dance, animation, video games, film, theater, installation, and live performance. She has recently completed a score for Minh Tran's "Kiss," which premiered January 20th as part of White Bird's 2010 dance season, and a score for Rose Bond's animated installation "Broadsided!", presented in a 10th century castle courtyard in Exeter England February 2010.
Heather has just been selected as the Oregon Cartoon Institute's first Artist in Residence. Her work at the Institute will be a musical investigation of Mel Blanc and his favorite creation, Bugs Bunny. This will culminate in one or more public performances of original music, including video and dance, late in 2010.
